Sensory Safari

Sounds, Smells, and a Sense of Touch Create the Sensory Safari Experience!

September 17, 2008, will introduce children and adults who are blind or visually impaired from across Nebraska and western Iowa to the Zoo.  This event, sponsored by the Nebraska Chapter of Safari Club International, Nebraska Sables, Nebraska Game and Parks, the Center for the Education of Children Who are Blind or Visually Impaired, and the Lincoln Children's Zoo provides the opportunity for guests to touch animal mounts, furs, feet, and scales, to smell the animal diets, and to hear recordings of animal sounds.
