January       

          1        Lincoln Safari begins. Register now at www.LincolnSafari.com to participate in this year long, city wide program.                     

February

          19    Richard Louv at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. 7:00, FREE admission – open to the public.

March

          1        Deadline for Zoo Crew Applications

          24-28 Zoo Camp - 8:00 a.m. till 5 p.m. all week. Members pay $210, non-members     $245.00.

April

          5-6     Clean Up Weekend: Saturday 9-3 p.m. / Sunday 1-3 p.m. (weather permitting)

            12-13  Clean Up Weekend: Saturday 9-3 p.m. / Sunday 1-3 p.m. (weather permitting)

          15      Opening Day - Zoo Hours, Daily 10-5

          19      First Saturday Celebration!  - Come join in the fun!

          26      Earth Day Celebration

May

          4        Zoobilee – Member’s Only Night 5:30-8

          10      Fun Run Safety Day – 10–3

          11      Mother’s Day - Free train ride & small ice-cream cone for Moms

17      Armed Forces Day - Free admission for active members of the military w/photo ID. half price for immediate family members

          19      Lynn Vermeer Memorial Golf Tournament – Firethorn Golf Course

          24-25 Adopt a Lifelong Friend - 11-4

June  

          4        Wild Wednesdays begin - June, July, and August the Zoo will stay open until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. The 'wild' part is from 5-8 when special activities, guests, and give-aways will be going on. Don't miss out.

          9        Summer Classes begin

            11       Wild Wednesday 5 - 8

         15      Fathers’s Day - Free train ride & small ice-cream cone for Dads accompanied by their children

         18       Wild Wednesday
