Adoptions
| An adoption is a fun way to create a special bond at the Zoo, while also helping us care for our animals. When you adopt an animal, your donation goes toward the animal's care and daily feeding. For just a few dollars, you can buy a harbor seal sixteen pounds of fish a day, or keep the Shetland ponies happy by keeping their trough well stocked with hay. Whatever animal you choose, you'll know that all your money goes to support your new family member and the entire Zoo.
Select your favorite animal from the list below, donate online or send in your tax-deductible donation to us. We'll send you an "adoption package," consisting of a personalized adoption certificate, a photo of your animal, and a wallet-sized Proof-of-Adoption card that designates you as the proud adoptive parent of an exotic Zoo animal. Your adoption package is completed by an invitation to visit your animal and have a private tour with your animal's zookeeper. Don't forget, animal adoptions make great gifts for family and friends! By participating in this important program, you share your love for animals by helping ours receive the best care possible. |

Group Adoptions
Participating in our adoption program is a wonderful opportunity for a school, troop, or youth group to get involved and to help us feed and care for the Zoo's animals. Inspire children to learn the importance of wildlife conservation and teamwork. Choose a favorite animal and then develop a creative way to raise money for your adoption.
Your group will receive one adoption certificate featuring a photo of your animal and a Proof-of-Adoption card for each member of your group. The group can then visit the Zoo and learn more from a private visit with the animal's zookeeper. For additional information, contact Rachelle Humiston, Director of Institutional Advancement, at 402.475.6741 or rhumiston@lincolnzoo.org. |
